If your pedometer is not recording your steps (or any other modes) and only the time is functioning, then your pedometer's Pause Feature may be activated resulting in steps not being recorded.

The pause feature is activated if the MODE button is pressed and held for 3 seconds whilst in 'Step' mode (make sure that 'DAY 1' is not displayed). This feature can be easily controlled and is explained on Page 6 in the User's Manual.

 

A flashing human figure should be continuously displayed on the left of the pedometers display screen to show that your pedometer is active, if not, simply go to Step mode and press and hold the MODE button until the flashing human figure reappears. Flashing human figure = active pedometer.
